One week after your period ends is the time of ovulation or release of an egg. You may get some lighter bleeding due to hormonal shifts that happen after your period.
During the average menstrual cycle of 28 days, ovulation usually occurs about one week after menstruation ends. During ovulation, there may be slight bleeding due to fluctuations in female hormones. Recent change in hormonal contraception, stress or lifestyle changes, fibroids and infections can also cause bleeding less commonly.
