Recurring fevers at night in adults may be caused by many different things like cancers, infections and autoimmune diseases.
Fever is defined as a body temperature greater than 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 degrees Farenheit). Your body temperature can fluctuate by about 0.5 to 1.0 degrees Celsius throughout the day. It is often the highest during the day and evening. There are a whole host of possible causes for recurring fevers at night. Some of them include infectious diseases, cancer, autoimmune diseases, and psychogenic fever. As a result, it is important to consult your primary care provider.
