You should stay home from the flu until you have no fevers for 24 hours while not taking anti-fever medication and you're feeling better to go back to work or school.
If you have the flu with fever, stay home until you no longer have a fever for 24 hours while not taking any medications that would lower your fever. If you are diagnosed with the flu but do not have a fever, it is recommended you stay home for 5 days after your symptoms started. You are most contagious the first 3 days of your illness.
