A head injury is any trauma or damage to your brain, skull, or scalp, which can be open or closed. These can range from a mild bruise to a severe traumatic brain injury. Common head injuries include scalp wounds, concussions, and skull fractures.
The treatment and prognosis of head injuries depend on the type and severity of the injury. In minor head injuries, your doctor will recommend avoiding additional trauma and may prescribe medications to help with the pain. In severe cases, your doctor might recommend hospitalization, IV medication, and possibly surgery.

Male, 20s
My experience was great. I was worried, but the symptom checker helped me narrow down what it might be. I feel a little relieved compared to when I first started, and it gives me a starting point for what my symptoms could mean.
(Sep 27, 2024)
Male, 50s
The questions asked and possible causes seemed spot on, putting me at ease for a next-step solution.
(Sep 26, 2024)
Female, 40s
I was actually very impressed with the results it provided because, although I didn’t mention it during the questionnaire because I thought it was unrelated, it suggested I may have something I’ve actually been diagnosed with in the past.
