Lichen planus it is an inflammatory condition of the skin associated with Irritation and Itching. It occurs when the body's immunity reacts against its own mucous membranes and causes inflammatory reactions. Nail lichen planus destroys the nail bed and thins the nails. The cause of lichen planus is unknown. Some possible causes include, Hepatitis C infection of liver, Certain medicines, diabetes, heart disease, and malaria.
