What is verruciform xanthoma?

This is a rare, benign condition affecting the inner lining of the oral cavity. It appears as a rough or pebbly-textured growth. The cause is unclear but may be associated wuth human papillomavirus (HPV). Men and women are both affected, and it is commonly seen in the 40 to 70 -year-old age group.
