Arm pain
Wrist pain
Arm pain started after falling on an outstretched hand
Weakness in arms or legs
Your doctor may ask these questions to diagnose distal radius fracture
Do you have pain in the knuckles or finger joints?
Do you have pain in the arms?
Do you have wrist pain?
Did your arm pain start after you fell and landed on your hands?
Do you feel any weakness in your arms or legs?
Simple cases can be managed with a cast. More severe fractures may require surgery to straighten the bone as it heals. Treatment of any bone weakening is necessary to reduce the risk of additional fractures.
