What is endophthalmitis?

Inflammation of the inside of the eyeball, usually due to infection. Prompt medical treatment is needed to prevent permanent blindness.

Symptoms of endophthalmitis

  • Eye redness

  • Eye pain

  • Fever

  • Eye discharge or "gunk"

  • Tearing from one eye

  • Poor vision

  • Difficulty seeing on one side

Treatment for endophthalmitis
