What is endophthalmitis?

Inflammation inside the eyeball, typically from infection. Quick medical treatment is necessary to avoid permanent blindness.

Symptoms of endophthalmitis

  • Eye redness

  • Eye pain

  • Fever

  • Eye discharge or "gunk"

  • Tearing from one eye

  • Poor vision

  • Difficulty seeing on one side
