A condition where a painful lump forms in the breast. This is caused by imbalances in female hormone levels, hence symptoms tend to occur before and during menses.
Breast lump
Pain when pressing on the breast
Headache with sharp, electric shock-like pain
Smooth, round and movable lump
Your doctor may ask these questions to diagnose mastopathy
Do you feel a lump in your breast?
Is there pain when pressing on the breast?
Does your headache feel a sharp pain like an electric shock?
Do you feel a smooth lump under your skin which can be moved around?
This condition may get better without treatment. In the meantime, medications and hormone treatment can be given to relieve pain. This condition is sometimes caused by diabetes, and good control of blood sugar levels may help to prevent it from coming back.
