What is Pharyngeal Tumor?
Pharyngeal tumor is another name for a tumor in the throat. These can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Common symptoms include difficulty swallowing and persistent sore threat. Diagnosis is made via biopsy of an abnormality seen on visual exam or on scans.

Difficulty swallowing food or water

Treatmentof Pharyngeal Tumor
After a biopsy confirms the diagnosis of a cancer, scans are ordered to determine the extent of the tumor and whether it has spread to lump nodes or elsewhere. The treatment plan is then developed which may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy or a combination of these.
