What is Gestational Hypertension?
RPC Reviewer comment - As of current guidelines PIH is not a separate condition. The current terminology is Gestational hypertension or Preeclampsia (both with and without severe features). Please let me know how you wish me to clarify this target page. High blood pressure can be a side effect of pregnancy. In some cases, this can be severe and harmful to both mother and child. The causes are varied, but risk is higher in obese, older, and first-time mothers.
