About the Symptom
It refers to swelling or lump that is found on the chest region, the upper front of the body between the neck and abdomen. Most of us know where our collarbones are located. Any lump below our collarbones down to our breasts is considered to be a breast lump since breast tissue can be found that high on the body. Therefore if there is a lump in that area the person should be evaluated by a physician. This area should be included in breast self-examination.
