Most healthy individuals recover from toxoplasmosis without treatment. Those who are ill or have a weak immune system may receive a combination of drugs such as antibiotics, anti-parasitic drugs, and other medications to alleviate symptoms. However, the best approach is prevention by avoiding exposure. People with weakened immune systems may be prescribed preventive medication.
