About the Symptom

A paresthesia is an abnormal sensation such as numbness, tingling, prickling, itching, or burning. A "generalized" distribution means the abnormal sensation is widespread, not limited to a certain part of the body. Paresthesias can happen due to many different conditions, including nerve damage or anxiety.
